Located in Maizuru Park, the Fukuoka Castle ruins is a great place to take a walk, or have some lunch under the cherry blossom trees (March-April). The castle was built by Kuroda Nagamasa who supported Tokugawa Ieyasu in the battle of Sekigahara. This castle used to be the biggest castle in the Kyushu area but now there are only a few towers and some walls.
