Check out Kifune Shrine located in Kyoto`s beautiful forest home to the God of water. It`s a little out of the way, but it`s worth the trip.

Or should I say where to eat... Eat on top of a river. Yes... I said "ON". Enjoy a delicous Japanese meal completely surrounded by nature. Theses restauraunts on the river are open from June to September. Reservations are recommended as it can get really busy.
1. Take the JR Nara Line bound for Nara 1 stops to Toufuku-ji Station.(140 yen) 2. Take the local Keihan-hon line bound for Demachiyanagi about 6 stops to Demachiyanagi Station. (270 yen) 3. Take the Eizan Kurama line to Kibune-guchi Station. (420 yen) 4. From Kibune-guchi Station, it`s a short bus ride (160 yen) or 20-30 minute walk to Kifune Shrine. We recommend you walk, it`s a beautiful hike.
